We know the value of home, so we’re on a mission to help our communities feel at home, no matter the situation. Since 2022, DKI team members have raised over $850,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada.
Building a Sustainable Future
Once a job is complete, leftover materials find a new home. Our franchise members support green initiative charities, including Habitat for Humanity ReStore, to divert waste from ending up in landfills. These efforts ensure quality home products and furniture are accessible to our neighbours in need across the country.
We also value environmental initiatives to foster a healthy living and working environment. At DKI, we use non-toxic green cleaning products to provide property owners a safe return to their space. No toxic chemicals or harmful fumes.
DKI team has trained staff and GRPs (Green Risk Professionals) on site who are prepared to mitigate risk in environmentally sustainable ways.
Lastly, the DKI is bound by a framework of supplementary policies and codes that promote sustainability. Here are just some of our overarching sustainability objectives:
- Diverting waste from landfills through leading restoration techniques
- Reducing the use of harsh chemicals and other harmful cleaning agents
- Decreasing water waste
- Minimizing energy consumption
DKI Canada Ltd commits to maintain zero scope 1 emissions through 2034. DKI Canada Ltd also commits to reduce absolute scope 2 GHG emissions 58.8% by 2034 from a 2023 base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions.
